About Me

I’ve been a writer and editor in one form or another for decades. I took refuge in writing as a young girl and never looked back. I was a music critic in college (shout out to my Badgers), an editor for B2B magazines in my 20s, a pioneering online writer in my 30s, and now I’m a lifestyle and travel writer.

I’ve written for The Washington Post, USA Today, AARP’s the Girlfriend, Cosmopolitan, Washingtonian and dozens of other outlets.

The little four-legged cutie featured in the photos with me was our darling pittie rescue, Polly. Sadly, she is no longer with us but she brought more joy, laughs, and love to our home than we could have ever imagined.

My husband and I care deeply about animals and donate to a variety of animal welfare organizations including the Animal Welfare League of Arlington and the Humane Rescue Alliance.
